Sweet XV Mass Celebrations 
 
Below you will find the information for celebrating a sweet XV mass here at St. Joseph.  If you are interested, please contact Liliana Duran for more information on dates available and to pick up a form to reserve a date.  Dates for 2023  will be available during the month of July 2022.  

QUINCEAÑERA

 
Congratulations!  St. Joseph Church is pleased to welcome you for the celebration of your daughter’s quinceañera.  And the community joins you in thanksgiving to God for the life of your teen.  We know that as a Christian Catholic family, you have come to the church with much joy and enthusiasm asking to celebrate the quinceañera of your teen and are preparing with great expectations.  The family is asked to keep in mind that a celebration of quinceañera included in a liturgy involves a Christian responsibility that should be manifested during your participation in the same. 
 
You are also reminded that the celebration of the quinceañera IS NOT A SACRAMENT.  It can be held by a Deacon or a Priest but equally celebrated with respect and devotion.
 

• Members (family registered in the parish and active or living in the city of Placentia): The Masses for quinceañeras are held individually, Saturdays at 12pm.  The dates are set and no accommodations will be made.  The cost for the celebration is $800.00 per teen.  The parents must reserve the date a minimum of (3) months before.  The cost includes: music, altar servers and quinceañera coordinator. NO OUTSIDE MUSIC IS PERMITTED.

• Not Members (family not registered in the Parish or does not live in the city of placentia) : The Masses for quinceañeras are held individually, Saturdays at 12pm.  The dates are set and no accommodations will be made.  The cost for the celebration is $1,000.00 per teen.  The parents must reserve the date a minimum of (3) months before.  The parents must request a letter of permission from their closest Catholic church base on their address.  The cost includes: music, altar servers and quinceañera coordinator. NO OUTSIDE MUSIC IS PERMITTED.

1. To register the teen for a date, the parents must return the registration packet no more than two weeks after receiving it.  Along with the packet you should bring the following:
   1. $200.00 deposit (the deposit is not refundable)
   2. CERTIFICATES: Baptism, Communion and Confirmation (received through a Catholic church)

2. If the teen has not received the Sacrament of Confirmation she must be enrolled in the confirmation program.  The parents must bring written proof that the teen is enrolled in the confirmation program.    

3. The families will participate in (1) rehearsal previous to the mass celebration (the quinceañera coordinator will contact the parents to indicate who must attend the rehearsal).  The date for the rehearsal will be given once the packet is returned and the date is reserved.  Please assure that all forms are carefully read and are signed by whom it corresponds.
