“Am I a God near at hand only, says the Lord, and not a God far off? Can a man hide in secret without my seeing him, says the Lord. Do I not fill both heaven and earth?”  Jeremiah 23:23-24
 
My role as spiritual director is to companion others in whatever path they take in pursuit of a deeper relationship with God. I’m a multi-generational Roman Catholic and have provided spiritual direction to people from various faith traditions in English and Spanish for over ten years. Spiritual Direction is my way of being with God and neighbor.
 
I’m privileged to be a husband, dad, grandfather and Vietnam Army Veteran. My background is in education as teacher, principal and deputy superintendent. My passion has been volunteering in church ministry and building strong communities. Transitioning from role to soul, continues to reshape my life and refine my priorities.
 
I enjoy a variety of sports and keep active through reading, gardening and hiking. Nature connects me deeply to God and his entire creation as does Illuman International’s focus on the outdoors and inner awareness. My son and I have walked three different paths to the Camino de Santiago de Compostela; most recently from Seville in 2024.
 
My image of spiritual direction is contemplative presence in God’s handiwork whether on the beach, desert, mountains, or neighborhood. He is found everywhere that we pause to notice.

“¿Soy yo un Dios de cerca, dice el Señor, y no un Dios de lejos? ¿Puede alguien esconderse en secreto sin que yo lo vea, dice el Señor? ¿No lleno yo los cielos y la tierra?” Jeremías 23:23-24

Mi rol como director espiritual es acompañar a otros en cualquier camino que tomen en busca de una relación más profunda con Dios. Soy católico romano multigeneracional y he brindado dirección espiritual a personas de diversas tradiciones religiosas en inglés y español durante más de diez años. La dirección espiritual es mi forma de estar con Dios y el prójimo.

Tengo el privilegio de ser esposo, padre, abuelo y veterano del Ejército de Vietnam. Mi formación es en educación como maestro, director y superintendente adjunto. Mi pasión ha sido el voluntariado en el ministerio de la iglesia y la construcción de comunidades sólidas. La transición de mi rol a mi alma continúa transformando mi vida y refinando mis prioridades.

Disfruto de una variedad de deportes y me mantengo activo a través de la lectura, la jardinería y el senderismo. La naturaleza me conecta profundamente con Dios y con toda su creación, al igual que el enfoque de Illuman International en la vida al aire libre y la consciencia interior. Mi hijo y yo hemos recorrido tres rutas diferentes del Camino de Santiago de Compostela; la más reciente desde Sevilla en 2024.
