Michael and Gemma have been members of St. Joseph Parish since the year 2000. They were married at St. Joseph Church and have a son Philip (14), who is an Altar Server and has attended the St. Joseph Faith Formation Program. He is currently an active member of Edge. Both Michael and Gemma have been involved in numerous ministries over the years. Gemma is an Usher at Mass and has served on the Parish Pastoral Council. Michael serves as an Extra Ordinary Minister of Holy Communion and previously has served four years as a member on the Parish Finance Council. In addition, he is a money counter for the Collection after Mass. Michael is also a member of St. Joseph Council of the Knights of Columbus. The Seidl Family has been involved for many years giving of their time and talent to the Ministries of St. Joseph Parish. The Family leads by example, attending Mass weekly and actively participating at the Mass.
The Knights of Columbus have always been interested in the development of strong, vibrant families. In support of this philosophy and to create an even greater awareness of our many fine Catholic families, the Supreme Council instituted the “Family of the Month” Program in 1978. Since that time the “Family of the Month” Program has grown to be one of the Order’s most successful. St. Joseph Council started the Program to recognize and honor the outstanding Catholic families in our parish. At the beginning of each month, the Knights of Columbus will select a Family of the Month and present to them a statue of the Holy Family to display in their homes for that month. Included in the presentation is a certificate recognizing the family and a prayer to the Holy Family by Pope Francis. The Family of the Month is requested to gather together daily as a family and pray for the intentions of St. Joseph Parish.
