This is in recognition for their contributions and participation in many areas of St. Joseph Parish life. Michael and Jaclyn have been active members of the Parish for 8 years. The family is very active in the Children’s Liturgy of the Word, where Jaclyn has been a catechist for over 3 years. Nicolas attends Faith Formation classes here at St Joseph’s and The Fortino Family helps with Faith Formation events throughout the year like Family Faith nights during Lent and Advent seasons. Also, the family participates in the St. Joseph Parish GIFT Program. The Fortino Family leads by example, attending Mass weekly and actively participating at the Mass. They are always willing to help in any way they can.
Program Purpose: The Knights of Columbus have always been interested in the development of strong, vibrant families. In support of this philosophy and to create an even greater awareness of our many fine Catholic families, the Supreme Council instituted the “Family of the Month” Program in 1978. Since that time the “Family of the Month” Program has grown to be one of the Order’s most successful. St. Joseph Council has started the Program to recognize and honor the outstanding Catholic families in our parish. At the beginning of each month, the Knights of Columbus will select a Family of the Month and present to them a statue of the Holy Family to take home and display in their homes for that month. Included in the presentation is a certificate recognizing the family and a prayer to the Holy Family by Pope Francis. The Family of the Month is requested to gather together daily as a family and pray for the intentions of St. Joseph Parish.
